Program Standards

The ACS BSCN Accreditation Program Manual describes the necessary physical resources, human resources, clinical standards, surgeon credentialing standards, data-reporting standards, quality improvement practices, and verification/approvals processes for the ACS BSCN Accreditation Program. Included in the manual is a list of the standard and non-standard operations that are allowable under the ACS BSCN, including criteria for adolescent/pediatric surgery.

The ACS BSCN Advisory Committee may change or modify the processes, standards, and stipulations set forth in this document as new knowledge, new technology, and experience require.

For more information on the program standards, a copy of the current Accreditation Program Manual may be found online here.
